Live Painting at the 2017 Cattlemen's Ball of NE

I have been pretty busy lately and haven't had time to write about this year's Cattlemen's Ball yet. The Ball took place in Anselmo, NE at Jeff and Lisa Johnson's Lonesome River Ranch on June 2nd and 3rd. It was the perfect weekend for outdoor activities. They had riverboat rides, horse rides, rodeos, etc... While all of this was going on, I was doing live painting. From 9am until about 5pm I was creating a 3'x4' acrylic painting of the 1947 Omaha Stockyard. Below are a few of the process photos, along with some photos of my booth and other paintings I had there. The Omaha Stockyard painting ended up auctioning off that night to the same couple who bought my "Black Legacy" painting last year! Jeff and Lisa Johnson, this years hosts ended up winning the painting. Towards the end of the auction, after talking with my Mom and Dad, we thought it was a good idea to also auction off my painting of Tom Osborne and Brook Berringer that I started painting live in front of Tom at a Teammates Benefit weeks prior, where he autographed it for me. I've also included a few photos of that.
